Karl Kares: S.T.E.M. Day Scholarship Winner Announced
Congratulations to our first scholarship recipient, Molly Libby from Lakeland High School!
Not only does Molly excel in the classroom and on the field, but she is also passionate about helping those with disabilities through S.T.E.M. programs, such as bioengineering. We asked the applicants why they were interested in a S.T.E.M. career and here was Molly's response, "I am pursuing a career in S.T.E.M. because my sister has cerebral palsy and brain damage causing her to be blind and in a wheelchair. Growing up I have been constantly surrounded by medical equipment that I did not realize my sister depended on to live. This has inspired me to pursue a degree in biomedical engineering. I want to be able to design medical equipment to help kids just like my sister."
We couldn't be more proud to help someone like Molly pursue their dreams and passion to drive innovation in order to impact the lives of others.
Congratulations again to Molly and thank you to all of the applicants who took the time to apply!
